Melted Crayon Planets

My son and I made our own planets! Find out how we did it on the Kiwi Crate blog.

H and I stumbled on this idea, making it all the more fun for the both of us. I was simply finding ways to use up our bits and pieces of crayon (before our dog ate them!), and it was H who thought our creations looked like planets.  And you know, they do! So we did it again, this time with the intention of making planets.

This is my special Jupiter with the red spot.

This is one of H's Earths.

It was a great way to teach my son (& myself) how the planets are different colors.  Check out for the full details!
